- 1 Cheese grater

- 6 oven ready lasagna noodles
- 1 jar Your favorite marinara I used Rao’s
- 2 cups mozzarella shredded
- 1 lb Italian Sausage I used venison Italian sausage
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup pesto
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 onion diced
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- olive oil for cooking



How to make this lazy lasagna skillet
Step 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Step 2. To an oven safe pan, add 1 tbsp of olive oil and diced onions. Cook over medium heat. Once the onions are halfway cooked, add your ground Italian sausage, and cook until done.
Step 3. Pour marinara sauce and can of tomatoes, with the juice, into the pan. Mix until combined. Break your lasagna noodles to bite sized pieces, add to the pan and stir to combine.
Step 4. Lower the heat to low and let simmer.
Step 5. To a small bowl, add the ricotta cheese, basil, Parmesan and 1/2 cup of mozzarella, and stir to combine.
Step 6. Add half of the ricotta mixture to the pan and stir to combine. With the other half, add dollops of the mixture to the top of the pan. Cover with tin foil, and place in the oven. Cook for 20 minutes.
Step 7. Remove from the oven and remove foil. Top with shredded mozzarella and return to the oven until the mozzarella is melty.
Step 8. Serve with fresh basil and more shredded Parmesan, if you like!
