Ingredients & substitutions

  • Cherry tomatoes – I prefer cherry tomatoes, but you can also use grape tomatoes. I use Flavor Bomb’s. You can get them at Sam’s Club! Side note, Sam’s club might be my new favorite store.

  • Basil – Fresh basil is the best, but you can also use dried basil.

FAQs about vegetarian salads

Can salads replace vegetables?

But a cup of vegetables is not the same as a cup of salad greens. It actually takes about two cups of greens to make the nutritional equivalent of a one-cup serving of vegetables. If that sounds like a lot of greens for one sitting, just add other vegetables to your salad bowl, such as tomatoes, carrots, and peppers.

Can we eat vegetable salad everyday?

Eating salads on a daily basis as part of an overall healthy lifestyle may support gradual weight loss over time. This is because leafy greens are low in calories and high in volume and fiber, which will keep you satisfied for longer.
