Whipped Honey Mustard Pretzel Dip

This whipped honey mustard pretzel dip is a fan favorite! Whipped honey and tangy mustard come together in a delightfully sticky and flavorful dip. I made this dip for us at home, and we loved it so much, I decided to give small jars as Christmas gifts this year, and it was a huge hit!

Why you’ll love this pretzel dip

  • This whipped honey mustard so so full of flavor, and can be eaten with more than just pretzels. Try it on chicken or as a salad dressing!
  • It’s easy to make and made with out preservatives like many other pretzel dips have.
  • This is a great gift! It’s unique and I love gifting homemade things!

Here’s what you’ll need to make it

  • Stand Mixer – You can totally user a hand mixer, but to whip the honey, you have to mix for about 15 minutes…. Which can be done but your hands will be tired with a hand mixer! I was gifted my Kitchen Aid mixer for Christmas a year ago and it worked perfectly for this recipe.
  • Spatula – Just for folding in the other ingredients.

Ingredients & substitutions

  • Dijon mustard – You can use other types of mustard if you would like, but I’ve only tested with Dijon. Dijon is great for dressings because it helps emulsify the other ingredients and hold them all together so they won’t separate.
  • Honey – Real honey. Use a high quality honey, not the fake stuff.
  • Mayonnaise – I use Hellman’s made with olive oil.
  • Black pepper – For just a little heat.
  • Lemon juice – Lemon juice really brightens up the dip. Don’t skip the lemon juice.

FAQs about real honey

What kind of nutrition does honey have?

Honey is full of a variety of vitamins and essential minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids. Eating honey is a natural way to get an energy boost. It is a mixture of simple sugars glucose and fructose. Studies have shown that this works best in preventing fatigue and enhancing athletes performance.

How can I tell if honey is real?

Drop a teaspoon of honey into a glass of water. Fake honey will immediately start to dissolve, whilst raw honey will drop to the bottom of the glass intact. Place a drop of room temperature or cooler honey on your finger, If the ‘honey’ spreads then it is fake honey.

How long will real honey last?

For best quality, store honey for up to 12 months. After that time, it remains safe but the quality may not be as good. Honey can become cloudy, crystallized or solidified but this is not a safety concern. The honey can be microwaved or heated in a pan of hot water to clarify or melt it.
