Tortilla Pizzas

One of my family’s favorite week night meals are these tortilla pizzas. They are made up of a few ingredients that we pretty much always have on hand, and take only minutes to throw together. These have the added bonus because the kids can build their own. If you are looking for a quite, week-night meal that the whole family will love, try these tortilla pizzas.

Like any pizza, you can personalize it with your favorite ingredients. For us, I pretty much always have a jar of pizza sauce and veggies on hand at all times. This time, I happened to have some pepperonis, but we also love this pizza with sausage. My personal favorite toppings are mushroom, green pepper, onion and pepperoni. And don’t forget a whole lot of mozzarella cheese. We use burrito sized tortillas for these, but you can also use smaller ones if you would like.

Chop your veggies, and build your pizza.

Once you’ve made your personal pizza, it’s time to bake it. I prefer to bake these really hot and fast, at about 500 degrees, for 5-7 minutes, or until it’s done to your likeness. Depending on how many pizzas you are making, you may have to cook these in batches.

Pull your pizzas out of the oven and let cool slightly before slicing and serving. I like to make them a little more fancy by garnishing them with some fresh basil and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

Fun fact…. In the summer, we cook these on a hot grill! It adds a nice char to the crust and an awesome grill flavor!

  • 1 Sheet Pan
  • 1 Knife


  • 2 burrito sized tortillas
  • 1 jar pizza sauce
  • 1 Cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • your favorite pizza toppings I used green pepper, onion, mushroom and pepperoni


  • Preheat oven to 500 degrees.
    Lay your tortillas on a baking sheet. Pour sauce on the tortilla and spread evenly. I used about 1/4 cup or a little more per pizza.
    Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on the pizza, at least 1/2 cup per pizza. You can use as much or as little as you want.
    Chop your toppings if need be, and spread evenly on the pizza.
    Once you’ve built your pizza, put it in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until it’s done to your likeness.
