Strawberry Chia Jam

If you love jam but what a more natural alternative, look no further than this strawberry chia jam. This is a super simple recipe, and you wont miss store-bought jam in the slightest. This recipe can be made with any berry you would like, fresh or frozen. I like to make chia jam when I have berries that have to be used up. When berries are on their last leg, repurpose them and make them into delicious and healthy chia jam.

Just 3 ingredients and about 15 minutes will give you this fresh jam. This has no added sugar and the added health benefits of chia seeds. Chia seeds are not only rich in omega 3 fatty acids, but also antioxidants and fiber. You can’t go wrong!

Start by chopping the berries and muddling them in a pan over medium high heat, until the berries resemble jam. Then add the maple and chia and stir. Let stand for about 10 minutes until it thickens. That’s it! Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. This is great on sandwiches, charcuterie board addition, pancakes… The options are endless.

You could enjoy this strawberry chia jam drizzled on my healthy cheesecake recipe!
