Slow Cooker Pizza Pasta

Part 3 of my kid friend recipe series brings us to this slow cooker pizza pasta. All kids love pizza and pasta, so why not combine the two? And why not make it easy for us parents to make. While this isn’t a “set it and forget it” recipe, it is an easy one, nonetheless. It’s also made in one pot, which makes for quick and easy clean up. If all of these reasons sound good enough for you to make this, give this recipe a shot.

Why you’ll love this slow cooker pasta

  • It can be made in one pot, great for easy clean up!
  • It’s made with staple ingredients that you likely already have at home.
  • The best part is that your kids will love this stuff. And the adults in the house will too!

  • Slow cooker
  • Cheese grater

How to make this slow cooker pasta

  • Top with the rest of the mozzarella and cover again. Let cook for about 15 minutes more, until the cheese is melted.

FAQs about slow cooker meals

What are some mistakes people make when cooking with a slow cooker?

Avoid These 5 Common Slow Cooker Mistakes
Don’t overfill or underfill the slow cooker.
Never start with frozen meat.
Don’t open the lid during cooking!
Don’t add too much wine or liquor.
Be sure not to add dairy products too soon, they can burn.

What are some disadvantages with slow cooking?

Slow cookers only apply heat to the bottom of the crock, which cuts down on their ability to reduce liquids, brown foods, and develop flavor the same way a Dutch oven or pressure cooker can.

What are some benefits of slow cooker meals?

They use less electricity than an oven and can be used year-round. Because of the long, low-temperature cooking, slow cookers help tenderize less-expensive cuts of meat. They usually allow for one-step preparation; putting all the ingredients in the slow cooker saves time and reduces cleanup.
