Patriotic Fruit and Yogurt Parfait

For any holiday, many times we are entertaining a group of family and friends, and it’s nice to have healthy grab and go snacks or meals ready for when hunger hits. This Patriotic Fruit and Yogurt Parfait recipe is a fun and festive snack to have pre-made for the 4th of July weekend. Kid and adult friendly alike, they are a great snack to cool off with this holiday.

Start by either making your granola at home, or buying it from the store. There are some really great store options, but I prefer making my own. I know exactly what’s in it, and it has far less sugar than the off-the-shelf granola options. And it’s easier than you think. Check out my nutty baked granola recipe, here. If you would like to buy granola from the store, I would advise at looking at the lower sugar options.

In any vessel of your choosing, start layering your granola, fruit and yogurt. Repeat until your glass or bowl is full. I chose to use vanilla yogurt, strawberries and blueberries, just to make this recipe patriotic for the holiday weekend. You can make this fruit and yogurt parfait with any fruit you would like. Get creative!

Enjoy your patriotic fruit and yogurt parfait this 4th of July weekend with family and friends!
