Air Fryer Parmesan Garlic Salmon

If you are looking for an easy salmon recipe that the whole family will love, look no further. This creamy, cheesy garlicky salmon is a family favorite at our house, and it takes less than 20 minutes to make. What other reason do you need to put this air fryer Parmesan garlic salmon into your regular weekly menu?

Roasting Your Garlic

First, you will need roasted garlic. Roasted garlic has a sweetness that raw garlic can’t provide. And it adds a depth of flavor to this salmon that you won’t forget. To roast your garlic, cut the top off the garlic, drizzle with olive oil and salt. Wrap the garlic in tinfoil, and bake until it’s soft. This should take anywhere from 30-40 minutes at 400 degrees. Let cool and squeeze the roasted garlic out of the peel.

Salmon Topping

Now, make your salmon topping. To do this, mix your mayo, Parmesan cheese, lemon zest, parsley, roasted garlic and Worcester sauce. The lemon zest and parsley add a really nice freshness and lightens the heaviness of the mayo and cheese. Don’t skip these! Lastly, salt and pepper to taste.

Next, remove the skin from the salmon. A really easy way to do this is to take a really sharp filet knife and slide it between the skin and flesh. Hold the salmon on one side and push down and away from you with the knife, in one motion. The skin will come right off. Check out this video of a technique of removing salmon skin.

Slather the top of each salmon filet with the mayo mixture. Place in the air fryer at 390 degrees for 6 minutes. It will come out perfectly tender and just the perfect brown on top.

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 Spoon
  • 1 Microplaner


  • 1 head roasted Garlic Cut head of garlic in half the wide way, drizzle with olive oil and a dash of salt, wrap in tin foil and roast at 400 degrees until soft.
  • 1/4 Cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp shaved Parmesan
  • 1 Tbsp fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 Tsp lemon zest
  • 1 Tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Lb salmon filet


  • Preheat air fryer to 390 degrees.
    To a bowl, add mayo, Parmesan, parsley, lemon zest, peeled roasted garlic, and Worcestershire sauce, and stir to combine.
    Remove skin from the salmon with a filet knife. You can easily do this by holding down one edge, slide the knife down toward the skin and away from you in one smooth motion. Make sure your filet knife is sharp.
    Cut salmon down the middle, making two large filets.
    Slather each salmon filet with the mayonnaise mixture and put in the air fryer for 6 minutes. Salmon will be cooked through with a slight crisp on top.
