I love fun drinks for the summer. I haven’t felt like drinking much lately, and non-alcoholic drinks seem to be having a moment recently, and I’m totally hear for it. This spicy jalapeño limeade takes only minutes to throw together, and is a set-it-and-forget-it recipe. You can buy pre-made limeade or make your own, but I find that the store bought is just fine. If you are looking for a fun summer mocktail, give this jalapeño limeade recipe a tray.
I like to buy my limeade at the store, because it’s just as tasty and makes this recipe so easy. I prefer the Simply Limeade brand, but you can choose your favorite.
All you have to do to make your jalapeño limeade, is slice some jalapeños. I prefer one or two, depending on how spicy the pepper is. The heat can vary a lot from pepper to pepper. People say that if the jalapeño has stretch marks, it’s a spicier pepper than those that are smooth.
Drop those jalapeño slices into the limeade and let it sit in the refrigerator overnight. The next day, pour over ice and garnish with a lime and a jalapeño slice or two. I like mine a little fizzy, so I add seltzer water, but that’s totally optional.
Make it boozy by adding either vodka or tequila! Tequila definitely gives this limeade a margarita vibe.
- 1 Knife
- 1 Cutting board
- 1 Bottle Limeade
- 1 Bottle seltzer water optional
- 2 jalapenos sliced
- 1 lime garnish
- Open your bottle of limeade and pour a little out, so there is room for the jalapeños. Slice the jalapeños and put them in the limeade bottle. Let sit in the refrigerator over night. Pour limeade over ice about halfway up the glass. Top with seltzer water if you like a little fizz like I do. Garnish with a lime and jalapeno.Optional: Make it boozy with either vodka or tequila.
