Green Beans and Sausage Alfredo
I wanted to make something veggie heavy and pasta-like, without all the carbs. I came up with this absolutely delicious sheet pan meal. Green beans and sausage Alfredo can be made as a keto meal or not, and taste even better leftover as they did the first day. If you like veggie heavy meals and delicious sauces, this is the meal for you.

Why you’ll love this version of green beans and sausage
- The homemade Alfredo sauce is so decadent and rich, and is taken to the next level when you get these brown, toasted bits on top after you broil it.
- If you don’t want to make your own sauce, you can also use store bought! Love a dish that can be semi-homemade if you want!
- I’m not a big carb girlie, so this recipe satisfies that pasta craving with tons of fiber, good fats and protein.

Here’s what you’ll need to make it
- Sheet Pan
- Frying Pan – To brown your sausage. I love my Hexclad pans.
- Sauce Pan – This is for making your own Alfredo. You can also use Alfredo from a jar, which would make this recipe even more quick and easy.
- Cheese grater – You can also buy shredded cheese, but I like to grate my own right off the block.
- Spatula
That’s it!

Ingredients & substitutions
- Ground sausage – I use Jimmy Dean. It’s the best, in my humble opinion.
- Fresh green beans – I buy these already prepped in a bag, so I don’t have to cut all the stems off.
- Shredded cheddar – I prefer to shred my own cheese, but you can buy shredded as well.
- Alfredo Sauce – Making your own is easy! The following ingredients are for making your own Alfredo, but you can also use store bought.
- Heavy cream
- Butter
- Flour – Make this recipe keto and use a keto flour.
- Shredded Parmesan
- Black pepper

How to make this sheet pan Alfredo
Step 1. Make the sauce. To a medium sauce pan, melt the butter and whisk the flour in until it’s combined. Add the heavy cream and pepper, and let simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool so it isn’t boiling, and gradually add the Parmesan, stirring constantly. Set aside.
Step 2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Wash and prep your beans. Lay them out on a greased sheet pan. Spray with oil and season with your favorite seasonings. I use seasoned salt, pepper and garlic powder. Roast for about 15 minutes, or until they are close to your desired doneness.
Step 3. While the beans cook, brown your sausage. Set aside.
Step 4. Once the beans are done, remove them from the oven. Top with the browned sausage, cheddar cheese and Alfredo sauce, in that order. Return to the oven and broil until the top is a little browned.

You can also prep components ahead and store in the fridge for up to 5 days, making it even easier! Sheet pan chicken fajitas with tender and juicy chicken, bell peppers, and onions tossed in a delicious homemade fajita seasoning.
You do not need to cover the pan with foil while making sheet pan meals. It is actually better for the steam to escape so that the vegetables can roast and keep some crisp to them.
