Dirt Cups

These dirt cups are just like what we ate as children, and I just had to make them for my kids. This is such an easy recipe, and one the whole family will love. The moisture of the pudding gets transferred to the cookies, making these dirt cups so custard like and absolutely delicious.

Ingredients & substitutions

  • Chocolate pudding
  • Cool whip
  • Cold milk I used whole milk
  • Oreo cookies crumbled
  • 24 gummy worms

How to make this dessert chocolate cups

Step 1. To a large bowl, make pudding as directed. Let stand for 5 minutes.

Step 2. Add Oreos to a zip top bag and crush with a meat mallet.

Step 3. Add cool whip to the pudding bowl and gently fold it in. Try not to mix too vigorously, so not to break the pudding.

Step 4. To each cup, add a scoop of the pudding mixture, then crumbled cookies, then a gummy worm, another scoop of the pudding, more cookies and another worm. Do this with all the cups. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
