Dairy Free Orange Julius

Orange Julius’ have become one of my family’s favorite evening treats this summer. They are alcohol free and kid friendly, and are so refreshing after an evening walk with the family. My son asks for them almost daily, and with these better for your ingredients, I’m happy to provide. The creaminess of the coconut milk makes this beverage such a sweet treat. With no refined sugar, this dairy free orange Julius is the perfect mock tail to satisfy that sweet tooth.

Start with your can of full fat coconut milk. Give it a good shake, so the milk and water combine. You can also use any other non-dairy, or dairy milk, but I think the full fat coconut milk makes this recipe the more decadent.

Combine all of your ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into 4 glasses, and garnish your dairy free orange Julius with a slice of orange. The orange is optional, but it makes the drink that much more festive!

  • 1 blender
  • Measuring Cups


  • 1/2 Cup full fat coconut milk or any non-dairy milk
  • 2/3 Cup orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Cup ice


  • Combine all ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth.
    Pour into 4glasses and serve with an orange slice (optional).
