Cheeseburger Bowl

Here is another way to eat my best burger sauce, this time in a cheeseburger bowl! I love a good salad with lots of stuff on it, and an amazing dressing. The grass fed beef smash burger patty makes it that much better. If you love cheeseburgers as much as I do, but want to keep it just a little healthier, give this cheese burger bowl a try.

Start by preheating your oven to 450 degrees. On a sheet pan, lay out your frozen fries and bake them for about 20 minutes. Then start making your burger sauce while your fries cook. You can find my best burger sauce recipe here. Next, divide your pound of grass fed ground beef into 4 equal parts. Roll them into a ball, and smash them down. Sprinkle them generously with salt and fry them up on your griddle or frying pan. Flip them once, then put a piece of cheese on top while the other side cooks. About 3 minutes per side. Set the burgers aside while you make the onions.

Chop your onions and add about a tablespoon of butter to the pan. Add the onions and let them caramelize. Set those aside. It’s time to start building your bowl.

Chop your romaine lettuce and divide it into 4 equal portions. Top each bowl with tomatoes, pickles, caramelized onions, your burger patty and a few waffle fries.. because what is any burger without fries?! Drizzle that delicious burger sauce all over it and devour!

Make smash burgers. Divide beef into four equal parts. Roll into a ball and smash down. Salt generously on both sides. In your frying pan or griddle, melt about 1 tbsp of butter and cook your burgers, about 3 minutes per side. After you flip the burgers, add a slice of cheese and let it melt. Let the burgers rest.
Chop your onion and add another tablespoon of butter to your pan. Let your onions caramelize. Once they are done, salt and set aside.
Chop your romaine lettuce and add equal parts to each of the 4 serving bowls. Build your burger bowl by topping the lettuce with chopped tomato, pickles, onions, your burger a few waffle fries and top with burger sauce.
