These butter mushrooms are a staple in my house. I always buy mushrooms when I go to the grocery store, and if I don’t end up using them during the week, they usually become butter mushrooms over the weekend. This recipe is so easy, and if you are a mushroom lover, it will become a staple in your house too. They are perfect for an appetizer to pass or a side with your favorite meal. Prep these before you leave for work, and they are ready by lunch time.

Start with your slow cooker. I use a very small one for this. The mushrooms will be to the top when you first put them in, but they cook down and marinate in the warm butter and ranch seasoning.

Place all ingredients in your slow cooker and let cook for 4 hours. You can use whatever seasoning you would like, but I like to use Hidden Valley Ranch powder. Stir before serving. You can serve them in the warm butter, or remove them. Either way, they are super juicy having marinated all day. I like to serve them as a side and drizzle that ranch butter over the meal.

  • 1 slow cooker
  • Measuring Spoons


  • 4 Tbsp salted butter
  • 3 Tbsp Hidden Valley Ranch Powder
  • 16 Ounces Baby Bella Mushrooms


  • Place mushrooms, ranch powder and butter into a slow cooker on low and cook for 4 hours. Stir when done. Serve as a side dish or as an appetizer with toothpicks!
