Blender Salsa
This salsa recipe comes from my good friend Amy. She shared this with me years ago, and to date, it’s the easiest salsa I have ever made. This recipe is supposed to be from a great local Mexican restaurant in Green Bay. And I’ll tell you, I don’t know if it’s the actual restaurant recipe, but it’s pretty darn close to the real thing. Give this super easy, super delicious blender salsa recipe a try.

This salsa only has one fresh ingredient, which makes it easy to have the ingredients on hand at all times. Stewed tomatoes, pickled jalapenos, a whole much of dry herbs and spices, and a fresh onion make this delicious blender salsa. It’s so easy to make, you just throw it all in a blender! After everything is smooth, transfer it to a sauce pan and simmer for about 10 minutes. This salsa will keep in the fridge for several weeks as is, or you can can it.

Fun fact about the first time I made this salsa. I had an old blender… the kind where the blades come off the bottom. After blending, I was transferring it over to the stove and the bottom fell out of the blender pitcher! Salsa hit the ground and splashed on every surface of the kitchen. I’m talking the walls, floor, ceiling, appliances, under appliances…everywhere. I was finding salsa in areas of that house until the day I moved out! Regardless of the HUGE mess it makes if you spill it like I did, it’s delicious and totally worth the risk. Wondering which local restaurant this is? Find out here.

This salsa is SO good!!
Spot on! Easy and delicious!
Yum! I realized we were out of salsa one evening but happened to have all the ingredients to make a quick batch of this salsa. Went a little heavy on the jalapenos because we like it spicy and the whole family loved it! Snacked on it for the rest of the week; makes a good amount.
This makes me so happy! I’m so glad you loved it, and I love even more that you happened to have all of these ingredients at home! You are my kind of girl!
