Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast Casserole

Ok, I can’t take full credit for this recipe, but I can share it because it’s so popular every time I make it. We had a friends weekend a while back, with our whole families, kids and all. My friend, Amy, brought this dish and it’s been a staple every time we have weekend visitors since. This Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast Casserole isn’t the healthiest options, but it certainly makes up for it on flavor. The next time you have a house full over the weekend, make this biscuits and gravely breakfast casserole.

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. While the oven heats, brown your sausage. Once your sausage is browned, set that aside.

Next, open your can of biscuits (don’t let the pop scare you!), and cut them into 4 pieces. Lay all the pieces in your pan. Top the biscuit pieces with your brown sausage.

Add your shredded cheese to the top of the sausage.

To another bowl, crack your 8 eggs and whisk them up until smooth. Pour the eggs over the top of the pan. Lastly, make your gravy. You can choose to make your own, but I prefer to buy the pack of powder. It is so easy to make, it’s delicious and turns out nice and smooth.

Pour the gravy over the other ingredients in the pan, and bake for 35-45 mins. I prefer to bake it for about 40 minutes so the biscuits and eggs aren’t too overdone.

Let cool for about 10 minutes so it fully sets. Garnish your Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast Casserole with green onions, if you so choose!
